Baltimore City procurement staff opened multiple vendor bids during a Board of Estimates bid-opening session and announced an addendum and at least one canceled opening.
Staff said an addendum will move DOT TR19018 (retaining-wall replacement on Dartmouth Road) from the current date to March 4, 2026. RFQ000766 (armed security services) was canceled and will be readvertised; vendors who submitted bids may pick up their materials from the comptroller’s office within 30 days.
For RFQ000776 (session initiation protocol trunking), procurement recorded three bidders: Allentech Online Inc. (total read as $190,764), Lumen Technologies (procurement referred the total to the agency because the bidder submitted a rate sheet rather than a comparable total), and AT&T Business (total read as $995,904). Procurement cautioned that Lumen’s submission used a nonstandard format and that the agency would determine the comparable total.
For RFQ000752 (fire extinguisher inspection, repairs, and services), procurement listed five bidders but struck or referred some totals to the agency due to Excel/formatting errors; Johnson Controls Fire Protection and Fire Safety Co. had totals read in session ($3,825,666.00 and $1,247,003.25 respectively) while other bid prices were referred for agency review.
Procurement said results will be posted to the website by the end of the day and that some bid totals are being referred to the requesting agencies for verification because of formatting or nonstandard submission formats.
