Mister Chesley described Resolution 26S13 as "the annual disbursement," authorizing the treasurer to distribute one-third of the county's quarter-cent road and bridge sales tax to cities on a modified per-capita basis for 2025 receipts; the commission approved the measure by a recorded vote of 3-0.
The commission next approved Resolution 2614 to issue a request for qualifications for a construction manager to advise on repairs to the Cass County Old Historic Courthouse. Commissioners noted the county previously signed a lifetime easement with MDNR requiring historical review of improvements; the construction manager role is intended to ensure any work meets those historical standards.
