Atlantic County commissioners approve bundled grants, contracts, change orders and appointments

At its meeting, the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners combined and adopted multiple grouped resolutions by consent, including grant awards, professional service agreements, several construction change orders, miscellaneous administrative items, two appointments and a roadway solicitation.

Commissioners moved to combine and adopt resolutions 57–63 (grants) and noted those items had been discussed previously in the budget committee. Two professional service agreements (resolutions 64–65) were combined and adopted. The board approved change orders listed as resolutions 66–73; one commissioner called attention to Resolution 66, noting it represented a contract decrease. Resolutions 74–78 (miscellaneous), appointments 79–80 and Resolution 81 (roadway solicitation) were likewise combined and adopted by roll call votes.

All combined votes were moved, seconded and approved in roll-call fashion; no sustained public comment or administration presentations accompanied the grouped adoptions. The chair stated that members of the public wishing to speak on any specific consent item should request that the item be pulled for separate discussion in advance, consistent with the meeting’s consent-agenda practice.

Because the items were bundled, individual resolution detail (contract amounts, vendor names, specific grant awardees or appointment appointees) was not discussed on the floor during the combined votes. Those details will remain in the official resolution documents filed with the clerk and in committee minutes as appropriate.

The board also adopted the meeting minutes from the February 3 session earlier in the agenda.
