The motion to allocate the ambulance amount from capital passed unanimously.
Under general operations, the commission authorized placement of a monument to Jethro Sumner at the new courthouse. County Mayor (presenting context) said the design was provided by the America 250 Project and the commission’s vote was for placement on county property, not a design approval. An amendment to require final design approval by the commission failed; the placement authorization passed.
Other administrative items included approval of a multi‑year agreement with Tri‑County Electric for Westmoreland EMS and routine emergency PO docketing. Several items were discussed and sent back to budget where commissioners requested further detail.
