Sumner County honors Liberty Creek girls soccer team for 2025 state championship

Chair read a proclamation recounting the team’s 22‑2‑1 record, 114 goals and run through district and state tournament play. The commission read the roster aloud; assistant coach Andy Fish and several players joined commissioners at the front of the room. Senior Ruby Sailor addressed the commission, saying she was ‘‘honored to stand here representing my soccer team’’ and reflecting on the program’s meaning to players and the community.
The commission adopted the proclamation by voice vote and invited team members and families to take photographs after the meeting. Commissioners praised the program’s competitive success and community impact.
