Winton Woods City School District — The facilities update covered athletic-field improvements, sale efforts for the Junefield property and the status of the districts central office renovation funding.
Facilities director said the baseball field fencing and backstop are being installed, dugouts are poured and a windscreen will match the stadium design. On the Junefield property, the district reported that it has listed the parcel and received multiple offers. District staff met with the village mayor and manager and plan developer presentations so the village can weigh in on preferred uses; staff said single-family housing is the prevailing recommendation from assessments and village feedback.
Staff also said surveyors are installing a walking easement along Lakeside Drive to preserve a future connector to the park and trail network. For the central office renovation, staff reported that all permits are in place and a 90-day extension was granted by the contractor, but the district cannot access permanent-improvement funds until the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) closeout process is completed; staff expected access in roughly a month but noted timing is not certain.
Board members asked about stormwater system work and bid-holding options; staff said seven bids were received and the lowest responsible bidder has agreed to hold their price for the 90-day extension.
