Winton Woods board approves personnel items, trips and contract addenda in unanimous votes

Winton Woods City School District Board of Education — The board voted unanimously on a series of routine and substantive items during its meeting, approving personnel schedules, multiple revised job descriptions, investment and financial filings, student trips and contract addenda.
Board members moved and approved procedural items early in the meeting, including waiving the reading of minutes for meetings on Dec. 15, 2025 and Jan. 12, 2026, and approving the minutes as presented.
The board then approved the treasurers recommendation to file the December financial statements for audit. The board also approved the districts investment report for December.
On personnel matters, the board approved personnel schedules (schedules A, B, C, D, E and M) and a set of revised job descriptions including student resource coordinator/truancy officer, alternative school instructor (Project Success), instructional assistant for special education, and a building support manager for child nutrition. District staff said the child nutrition role is a reconfiguration of existing positions and is expected to be filled by promotion rather than adding staff.
The board approved several overnight extended student trips. Changes to itineraries and transportation were described as cost-saving measures (for example, adding an additional hotel night and shifting return dates or choosing flights over charter buses when cheaper). The board also approved a repeat proposal for a sixth-grade trip to Awakanza (Thunder Bay area), Ontario, for June 2026.
Late in the meeting the board approved contract addenda for two district executives: an amendment to set the superintendents annual salary at $165,000 effective Feb. 1, 2026, and an amendment to set the treasurers annual salary at $153,000 effective Feb. 1, 2026 and extend the treasurers contract one year from Aug. 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027.
All recorded motions were adopted by unanimous recorded vote.
