The Green River City Council approved a second-reading ordinance amending Article 2 (ordinance number 15-3) to extend the Rocky Mountain Power franchise agreement.
City staff told the council the matter has been under negotiation with Rocky Mountain Power and that attorneys are still finalizing language; staff expressed hope this would be the last extension but could not promise it. Councilman Byrd moved approval on second reading and the council voted unanimously in favor.
Staff indicated they continue to work with Rocky Mountain Power's attorney on outstanding items and anticipated returning to the council when language is finalized. No public members spoke during the ordinance discussion and no amendments were offered at the meeting.
