Commissioner Nina Hernandez emphasized social media outreach and Spanish translations to broaden participation.
Board members praised the commissioners’ professionalism and breadth of engagement, and the board unanimously approved a resolution recognizing the commission and appointing the next cohort. Supervisors encouraged commissioners to continue advising on climate, housing and behavioral‑health priorities as the county integrates youth perspectives into policy planning.
