Applicant Daryl Heard was sworn, gave his name and address and described plans for a 40-by-60 shop at his residence to continue pickup repair and restoration. Heard said the business collects sales tax and that he intends to live on the property.
Several supervisors expressed support. No members of the public registered opposition. The board closed the hearing at about 9:20 a.m. and indicated it will place the application on the agenda for action in about two weeks; board members asked whether the timing would interfere with the applicant’s timeline, and Heard said a two-week wait would not be a problem.
Next steps: the special-use permit application will return to the board for formal action following normal processing; no final permit decision was made today.
