Gage County accepts culvert bids for review; highway superintendent recommends lowest bid from Ace Eaton

Beatrice, Neb. — The Gage County Board of Supervisors closed bidding and accepted four bids for the County’s Group 2 culvert project on Aug. 7, then heard a recommendation from the county highway superintendent to proceed with the low bid from Ace Eaton.

Bidding for the 'Gage County 24 Culvert Group 2' project closed at 9:18 a.m. The board accepted four vendor submissions as read in open session and voted 6–0 to accept the bids for Mark Conkey, the county highway superintendent, to review. Conkey reviewed the packets at the meeting and recommended awarding the procurement to Ace Eaton, which submitted the apparent low bid of $265,617.80.

Supervisor Haxby moved to award the bid to Ace Eaton and Dorn seconded.
