Councilors and staff discussed potential grant funding and cautioned that federal irrigation work could require casing or coordination so newly paved roads are not cut up shortly thereafter. "We don't want to put in $10,000,000 new roads and then a couple years later put in an irrigation system," a councilor said, urging casing and sequencing during design.
Staff encouraged patience while the plan is finalized over the next several weeks and said they will return with the transportation master plan for adoption once modeling adjustments and public input are complete.
