Crosby Independent School District opened a public hearing to present its 2024'25 annual report, commonly known as the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), and to outline district and campus-level performance objectives.
An unnamed district presenter told the board and community the TAPR reviews academic performance, financial reporting, compliance, student safety and student outcomes and confirmed Crosby ISD's accreditation for the 2024'25 school year. The presentation covered accountability indicators including approaches, meets and masters levels, participation rates, chronic absenteeism, dropout and graduation data, and postsecondary indicators such as SAT, ACT and AP results.
District staff then provided campus-level progress measures and multi-year targets tied to state and board goals. For early literacy, presenters reported third-grade STAR reading "meets" rates and set a goal to increase a campus from listed baseline levels to higher targets by 2030. For math and literacy at multiple grade bands, the district supplied milestone percentages and described action plans that include TEKS-aligned staff training, dedicated planning time with curriculum coordinators, and targeted interventions. The presentation also listed program-level outcomes in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Health Science Pathway, noting roughly 375 students enrolled in fall 2025 and 262 total industry certifications earned since 2017.
Board members and the presenters discussed metric caveats and upcoming data releases. District staff cautioned that some college, career and military readiness (CCMR) measures would rise later in the year as students finish courses and state/Department of Defense reporting is finalized.
