The Lockport Township High School District 205 board approved academic calendars for the 2025–26 and 2026–27 school years, Superintendent Dr. Bob McBride said, and the district will publish key dates online for families.
McBride said the calendars were developed with input from a community survey and that the board prioritized alignment with the district’s feeder districts, including similar start and end dates and aligned winter and spring breaks. For both upcoming school years, students will not be scheduled to attend school the week of Thanksgiving, McBride said.
“Thank you for all of you who participated in the survey about the calendars,” McBride said, noting the district sought family feedback when setting the schedules. The district will post the calendars and essential dates on its website and encouraged families to review them for planning.
The board approved the calendars during the Feb. 24 meeting; McBride said the district will publish the schedules and related information online for parents and guardians.
