Supervisor Tucker, whose district includes the station, moved to approve the contribution; the board approved the motion by voice vote with one recusal (the chief recused himself from vote due to his position). Chief Beame thanked the board for the funding.
The board recorded that the appropriation supports continuity of operations during outages and reduces manual handling of heavy doors and station systems during power losses.
