The applicant requested city services including a trash truck, police and EMS details, a city tent, picnic tables, golf carts and signage and asked that the city share social posts leading up to the event.
Regarding alcohol, the applicant said beer, wine and distilled spirits would be sold from two enclosed areas; all patrons intending to purchase alcohol would be carded and bartenders would be TIP certified. Wristbands would be applied after identification checks and alcohol consumption would be confined to the asphalt in front of the grandstands.
Council members moved to approve the event application and the one-day alcohol permit; both motions passed by voice vote.
