City of Oxnard staff recommend $1.5 million contract with Auto Body International for vehicle paint and body work

Jose Arriola, fleet services manager for the City of Oxnard, told the Public Works and Transportation Committee on Feb. 24 that staff recommends the City Council approve Agreement 32600325 with Auto Body International Inc. for on-call light- and medium-duty paint and body services.
Arriola said the proposed contract would be for an initial term from March 23, 2026, to March 22, 2027, with four consecutive one-year extension options that could extend the agreement through March 22, 2031, and a not-to-exceed total of $1,500,000 if all extensions are exercised. "The total cost for this agreement with Auto Body International shall not exceed $1,500,000 through 03/22/2031 if extended all 4 years," he said.
