Joanne O’Brien described unusual flooding in East Lake Park, asked about culvert and lake‑level options and urged the county to rectify drainage problems affecting homes on Vincent and Spencer Circle. Todd Randolph criticized TECO and its parent Emera for continued investments in natural gas infrastructure and recent rate increases, and questioned corporate decisions including a headquarters relocation. Tom Cobert addressed immigration policy and enforcement, condemning racist rhetoric and the effects of immigration enforcement on communities and the local workforce.
The board acknowledged the comments and proceeded to the consent agenda; none of the public comments prompted an immediate vote or formal staff direction during the meeting.
