HART authorizes submission of FY2032 priority projects to TPO including $11M award for top priorities

HART managers presented the agency’s FY2032 priority list for the Hillsborough Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) and the board authorized the CEO to submit the list and funding applications by Feb. 20.
Jesus Perez Garcia explained that the priority list is the first step for projects to be included in the FDOT work program and the TPO transportation improvement program (TIP), which is crucial for access to federal funding. The top three recurring priorities are bus replacements and midlife overhauls, a heavy maintenance facility, and bus‑stop capital improvements.
Staff noted that in the previous priority cycle HART secured $11 million of a $22 million program for its top three priorities and described the FY2032 applications as targeting funding five years out. After a motion and second the board authorized the CEO to submit the final list and applications.
Outcome: Authorization to submit FY2032 priority projects to the TPO and file funding applications by Feb. 20; staff to follow the TPO timeline.
