The Solanco SD board approved the proposed 2026–27 budget for the Lancaster County Career and Technical Center (CTC), which totals $27,197,538, Missus Tucker told trustees at the Jan. 26 meeting.
Tucker said the total represented about a $1.2 million increase from the prior year (approximately 5%). She reported the district’s contribution to the CTC operating budget would be $17,570,241 — an increase of $54,585 (less than 0.5%). She said payroll (wages) and benefits were the primary drivers of the budget increase.
Board members discussed Solanco’s share of CTC enrollments, estimating the district sends roughly 150 students (including junior cluster students) and represents approximately 8–10% of CTC enrollment; trustees noted that CTC seats are full and the district’s new director will work on options to add seats so more students can participate. The board approved the attached CTC budget by motion and voice vote.
