As part of School Board Recognition Month in March, Prairie Branch Elementary Principal Dr. Kevin Carroll and several fifth‑grade students presented handcrafted ceramic tiles and screen‑printed T‑shirts to board members.
Dr. Carroll described collaboration between the art teacher and the gifted program — including 3D‑printed stands for the tiles — and said the items were made by students as a way to thank the board. He introduced students Oliver, Landon and Kira and invited them to present the gifts.
A short student video played during the recognition in which students shared their impressions of a school board (responses ranged from "a big board with people's pictures" to suggestions like pizza days). Board members thanked the students for the presentation and the meeting moved on to regular business.
