The Nebraska Senate adopted a series of committee reports and confirmed gubernatorial appointments presented by committee chairs.
The Natural Resources Committee reported favorably and the body adopted confirmations for reappointments to the Environmental Quality Council, including Bradley Byrd (labor representative) and others; committee votes were announced on the floor (committee tallies cited for hearings). The Natural Resources Committee also reported the reappointments of David Legal and Kristen Gottschalk to the Nebraska Power Review Board, and the judiciary committee reported appointments to the Crime Victims Reparations Committee (Kathleen Bauer and G. Randall Hansen). The Transportation and Telecommunications Committee reported a favorable confirmation for James W. Hawkes to the State Highway Commission.
Several select‑file bills were advanced to E & R for engrossing after the clerk read the motions and senators voted by voice or record where noted. Among the measures advanced were LB783, LB836, LB741, LB751 and others that were reported as having E & R amendments adopted or withdrawn as indicated on the floor.
