The Senior Resident Advisory Committee received updates Feb. 9 on several planned roundabout projects affecting Main Street and nearby roads.
Members said the plan calls for three roundabouts on Main Street. One at Tom Ginevra is expected to be complete this fall; another is projected to finish by next June. Committee members said construction would not begin until after July 4 to avoid interfering with parade activities.
The group also discussed a roundabout planned at Bridal Road and West Terra, and that the city has started acquiring property for that project; a specific start date was described as likely after the school year ends but not yet finalized.
No formal vote or funding decision was recorded during the briefing; members were provided schedule estimates and asked to note potential traffic impacts for seniors.
