Mott described notable team achievements: the football team's 42-22 win over Marist and advancement to play at Henley (Mazama High School), multiple first-team and honorable-mention all-league athletes across sports, strong cross-country results and a growing unified soccer program. He said winter sports, wrestling and boys/girls basketball will begin immediately and the district expects robust participation.
On classification, Mott explained the Oregon School Activities (OSA) reclassification process that occurs every four years and said current modeling leaves Estacada in the 4A classification with its usual league opponents (e.g., The Dalles, Malala, Gladstone); he said there are two more OSA meetings and a final vote in December with scheduling to follow in February.
Board members praised coaches and athletics staff for program growth and the resiliency of student-athletes and coaches.
