Navajo County honors retiring employees from sheriff's office and probation department

The Navajo County Board of Supervisors spent part of its meeting recognizing two long‑serving county employees.
Eric (county staff) introduced Deputy Vincent "Vince" Palazzolo and described his history in search and rescue, community engagement and 12 years with the Navajo County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff and other speakers praised Palazzolo’s community involvement and search‑and‑rescue volunteer leadership; the county presented letters, a retirement badge and a commemorative stone. Palazzolo thanked the board, his colleagues and his wife, and spoke about the satisfaction of serving local communities.
Later in the meeting, Eric and Jason Cash introduced Linda Wilson, who has worked in Navajo County’s probation department for more than 18 years. Jason Cash described Wilson’s leadership, policy work and role in creating the Arizona State Probation K‑9 Academy; Wilson thanked colleagues and said it was an honor to serve the county.
Both recognitions were ceremonial; no policy changes or personnel actions were described during these presentations.
