Isaacs told the board the demand for emergency food has grown substantially; during her remarks she cited a figure of 85,000 people in the county who are food insecure and later said that the total number of people relying on the emergency food system could be “between 100 and 120,000.” Board members thanked the organization and encouraged residents to volunteer or donate to local pantries.
Township officials said they moved the donation up from its usual year‑end schedule because of increased demand and inflationary pressures reported by the network. The board and staff framed the donation as part of a broader set of community supports and encouraged residents to check local pantries’ needs.
