Carpenter and city staff have been coordinating with event staff to verify that food trucks meet safety and legal requirements.
Staff discussed logistics and costs: a drone show was considered but deemed too expensive (staff cited approximate costs of $30,000–$40,000 for about 100 drones), so the city is pursuing lower‑cost entertainment options. Staff estimated this year's fireworks display will run about 25 minutes. No formal council vote on events, contracts or budget authorizations occurred at the meeting.
