Towamencin Township supervisors convened May 14 and swore in an appointed supervisor who will serve through Dec. 31, 2025. The board then held its reorganization and elected Joyce Snyder chair for the remainder of the term; the vote was recorded as 3 in favor of Snyder and 2 for Chuck Wilson. Wilson was later elected vice chair for the remainder of the term.
The board also filled administrative roles: Kofi Asse was nominated and confirmed as secretary, and Amer Bartouf was named assistant secretary/assistant treasurer. The solicitor presided over the reorganization process and announced each voice vote as it was taken. The board noted these officer appointments will remain in place through the end of the current unexpired term.
The meeting record shows the oath of office for the newly appointed supervisor followed an order issued April 25, 2025, by the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. The board welcomed the appointee and referenced his academic background in international environmental policy and related fields. The meeting proceeded to agenda items after the reorganization votes.
