Township launches manager search and will release public survey

Ferguson Township staff told supervisors on Jan. 20 that the township has started a formal recruitment process for a new township manager with consultant MGT Impact Solutions and consultant Charlene Stevens. The manager said one-on-one interviews with supervisors and department heads have begun, a community survey will be published "probably within the next 10 days," and the search is expected to take about 14–16 weeks depending on candidate availability.
The manager said aggregate survey results will be publicly accessible and that paper copies will be available at the township building for residents who cannot respond online. Resident Bill Keogh asked whether survey summaries would be published; staff confirmed that aggregated summaries will be made available, and suggested a website link would be provided.
Board members discussed whether to add budget discussion to the agenda immediately or defer to the Feb. 3 meeting and agreed to review agenda procedures at the Feb. 3 meeting. The board did not take formal action on recruitment beyond receiving the report.
Next steps: township will release the community and employee surveys and provide aggregated results to the public; the board will continue manager-selection interviews and return with formal candidate steps later in the recruitment timeline.
