Summit on the Park lists spring events, camps and registration date

Beth Meyer, special events coordinator for the Summit on the Park, outlined a slate of spring and summer programming and registration details for Canton Township residents. "In March, we are going to do yacht rock bingo," Meyer said, identifying the event as Friday, March 13 with registration at cantonfun.org and an 18‑and‑up attendance guideline.

Meyer described the Bunny Breakfast, moved to the gym this year to accommodate more families; she emphasized that all attendees — including adults and grandparents — need tickets and that pre-registration is required. For aquatic programming, Meyer said the Egg‑Palooza pool event will take place the weekend of March 28 at 5 p.m., when children can dive for eggs and win prizes; the program will end with a duck race down the slide. She reiterated that most events require pre-registration and that details are available at cantonfun.org.

The Summit will host a puzzle swap with drop-off beginning April 15 (drop puzzles at the Summit front desk to receive vouchers) and an exchange on April 16 from 5–7 p.m.; organizers will sort puzzles into categories (children’s puzzles, wooden, jigsaw) and request mostly complete puzzles. On May 9 the Summit will present a Mother’s Day tea in partnership with the Northville Ballet featuring excerpts of famous ballets and an etiquette host named Juliet; advance registration is required.

Meyer also previewed summer camps that include science, magic, sports sampler, fashion and etiquette camps, plus a new American Girl–themed camp; most camps are one‑week sessions that can be combined into full‑day options. "Our camps open for registration on March 10," Meyer said, noting the online start time is 1 p.m. Parents are advised to consult age listings at cantonfun.org for program fit.
