The Sycamore school board on Monday approved several service agreements, adopted bus stops for the 2025–26 school year and carried routine personnel and donation items. Motions were moved and seconded and roll-call votes were recorded on each matter.
Agreements approved included additional contracts with Applied Behavioral Services to continue services for students new to the district, Key Behavioral Services, and Western Nursing Services. The board also approved the district’s annual bus-stop plan for 2025–26; transportation staff noted routes had been posted online and emphasized the list is a "living, breathing" document adjusted as needed.
During the personnel consent agenda, a board member made a conflict-of-interest disclosure before the vote, stating "the individual being considered for this position is my spouse" and that they would "be recusing myself from all discussion and voting on this matter." The roll call for that item recorded three "Aye" votes and two abstentions.
The board accepted donations from community supporters, including the Athletic Boosters, and approved a motion to pay prior-fiscal-year invoices that exceeded $3,000 where required by board policy (the treasurer explained Cincinnati Public Schools is acting as a fiscal agent for certain Title I per‑pupil allocations).
No contracts or personnel hires were detailed in the public discussion beyond the motions placed on the consent agenda; the board did not provide additional public deliberation of individual contract terms at the meeting.
