The Glenview CCSD 34 board approved three administrator hirings recommended by district leadership.
Staff presented three recommendations: Megan Chin, currently assistant principal for student services at Springland Middle School, was recommended as the district’s director of student services; Michael DiBartolo, serving in an interim capacity, was recommended as assistant superintendent for business services (CSBO) effective April 1 and noted to be a licensed attorney with prior education law experience; and Jeremy Fisher, a familiar D34 educator currently serving as an assistant principal elsewhere, was recommended to become principal at Pleasant Ridge School and attended the meeting.
District leaders emphasized their standard hiring practices — advertising positions, screening applicant pools, interviewing and conducting reference checks — and noted that additional administrator recommendations may come to the board at the next meeting. The three appointments were approved as part of the personnel/consent agenda by roll call and the motion carried.
Board members thanked the candidates and the teachers who piloted programs that informed other agenda items. The hires will be incorporated into the district’s staffing structure.
