The Hibbing City Council set a public hearing to consider vacating an alley that runs between 2nd Avenue North and 1st Avenue North in the Second Addition to Kelly Lake.
City Attorney (packet referenced Mister Bartlett; remarks also used the name Borland) said a public hearing will be scheduled for the council’s first October meeting and that affected property owners will be notified. The council approved the resolution to set the hearing by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the council voted to enter a closed session to consider purchasing multiple real property parcels; the motion named parcel identifiers (the transcript lists 14002700318, 140007000670, 140014000120 and 140029000619). The council recessed to closed session and, on return, immediately moved to adjourn. The final motion to adjourn was made by Councilor Bayless and supported by Councilor Swyberger.
