Committee members and staff discussed uncertainty about trenching, tax credits and whether incentives would cover actual installation costs; one committee member emphasized caution after noting the vendor's presentation described no downsides.
The superintendent reported 24 district security cameras had failed and said the district obtained replacements at no cost after vendor negotiations, crediting Kevin and Andrew for securing the replacements and ongoing support.
The committee did not take a binding procurement vote on the EV charger proposal at the meeting; staff recommended proceeding with site surveys to gather cost and feasibility information before any commitment.
Next steps identified at the meeting included proceeding with vendor site surveys for EV chargers if the administration decides it is feasible, continuing work on the Hardwick boiler appropriation with the town, and monitoring security-camera support and replacement schedules.
