Organizers said recent publicity has increased interest; staff arranged a media interview to promote registration.
Work-group members also discussed energy-data collection for the Energy Star Portfolio Manager. Staff and volunteers are exploring 'my meter' and other automated-metering options to ease data entry for municipal buildings, and commissioners offered to help enter building data if needed. A city contact (Caleb) was reported to have provided community-wide energy-usage data, though the data arrived with no sectoral breakdown and will require follow-up for benchmarking purposes.
The clean energy report was received and placed on file; the commission did not adopt new policy or funding at the meeting.
