New Franklin — City Council voted 6-0 on Feb. 18 to adopt Resolution 26-R-08, authorizing the transfer of $250,000 from the general fund to the police district fund and declaring an emergency.
S6 introduced the resolution during the finance committee portion of the evening, describing the transfer as a routine action the city takes every few months. "It's something we do, every couple months or so for the amount of $250,000 general fund to the police district fund," S6 said.
Council moved the resolution through the required readings and recorded a unanimous roll call in favor of adoption. The transfer was assigned to the finance committee and the motion was seconded on the floor; the clerk recorded the vote as passing 6 to 0.
No public testimony or amendments to the resolution were recorded at the meeting. Implementation will be handled by the finance department in coordination with the police district fund.
