Supervisors give brief updates: sewer authority rate planning, parks, recycling and fire staffing needs

Recycling and DEP: Supervisors said the township participates in a regional recycling consortium and that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has proposed changes to the way commercial tonnage is credited; supervisors noted the township's high commercial presence could be affected and the consortium is engaged in discussions with DEP.
Public safety and fire staffing: The fire chief reported a need to hire approximately 19 people and an RFP for a feasibility study is expected to return mid-June; supervisors said ordinances and truck/parking restrictions are being reviewed to address safety concerns.
