Township staff updated the Board on two administrative modernization projects. Staff reported property and zoning files scanned in the second year of the vendor program with corrections made after an initial scanning configuration issue; staff said scanned records are now linked to properties and can be pulled by the vendor within 24 hours if a request is made.
Staff also described implementation of Tyler municipal software. The system went live the week of April 28 after configuration work and a full week of staff training. New features noted in the transcript include credit-card payment capability (still in testing), an online civic-access portal for permit submissions (planned to launch after staff is comfortable with the system) and iPads for inspectors so field inspections can be documented, photographed and linked to scanned plans. Staff acknowledged some remaining work on credit-card processing and calendar/view features and said the township retains access to legacy software during the transition.
No contentious decisions were recorded; the update was informational.
