The board also approved Resolution 2026‑05 authorizing the village president to sign a professional services agreement with Vicarious Multimedia for communications work. Village Administrator Gavin described a scope that includes a $2,000 initial retainer and $3,500 per month thereafter for weekly content coordination, social media management, website updates and a monthly e‑newsletter; the contract can be ended with 30 days’ notice. Trustees asked about term length and cost comparisons to in‑house staffing before voting in favor, 4–0.
Separately, the board approved Resolution 2026‑06 to engage SB Friedman for a market and redevelopment feasibility analysis in the Triangle TIF/business development district. Staff said the contract was “not to exceed $81,000,” that the economic development committee recommended removing the hospitality‑use portion of the scope, and that the work would be eligible for future TIF reimbursement. SB Friedman is expected to present findings in late spring; the engagement passed 4–0.
