The Tooele County Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 18 approved the major subdivision preliminary plat for Outlaw Parr at Ochre Hills (application 2025-181), a development sited along the Tooele city boundary south of Smelter Road.
Planning staff said the proposal is similar in density to the adjacent municipal zoning, found it compatible with the Tooele County general plan update (2022), and reported that the application was complete. Staff noted one agency did not complete its initial review and recommended that the applicant address that agency’s comments during final plat review.
With no public comment during the public hearing, Commissioner Stets moved to approve the preliminary plat based on staff findings and subject to staff conditions; Commissioner Beckstrom seconded. The commission conducted a roll-call confirmation and approved the motion. The approval allows the applicant to proceed to final plat, where outstanding agency comments will be resolved.
The record shows the applicant (identified in the meeting as Mr. Harris) was present but did not offer substantive remarks during the public portion. Staff and commissioners indicated no major concerns at the preliminary stage.
