The board also read a second resolution marking October as National Principals Month and formally recognizing Dr. Jacqueline Johnson, Dr. Carrie Green, Dr. Jason Osbald, Matthew Bartley, Robert Beach and Josh Oster for "their daily contributions to students, staff members, parents and guardians, district office administration, board of education, and the Lockport Township communities." A board member presented the document to Dr. Carrie Green on behalf of her colleagues.
After the readings and brief remarks, a motion to accept the resolutions was made and seconded; the board called for and received a voice vote in favor, and the chair announced, "Motion carries." The board also offered public salutes and congratulations to student board members Avery Colala and Mia Fontana for recent external presentations and to staff and teachers who earned state recognitions.
