Chamber of Commerce secures approval for three downtown events in 2026

Laura said the sidewalk sale will require a state application for the Main Street closure and that she will include the Commission’s packet and supporting letter when submitting to the state. She described typical start and end times for each event and noted Department of Public Works assistance with cleanup after the sidewalk sale.
Unidentified Speaker 2 asked whether town staff had been consulted; Laura said they had spoken with town hall and would follow the standard permitting steps. The Commission moved, seconded and approved the requested dates and closures by voice vote.
Organizers will proceed with the state application for the Main Street portion of the sidewalk sale and coordinate with town departments on logistics and cleanup.
