Casino Control Commission temporarily qualifies Joseph Mauss as CFO of Standard General

The commission acted on a joint petition from Premier Entertainment AC, LLC and Bally's Corporation and adopted the draft resolution by roll call vote.
Counsel for the petitioners, Lynn Kaufman of Cooper Levinson, asked that Mauss be permitted to serve on a temporary basis while plenary qualification is pending. Deputy Attorney General Jordan Hollander, speaking for the Division of Gaming Enforcement, told the commission the division had reviewed the draft resolution and the petition and "has no objections." A motion to adopt the resolution was made, seconded, and recorded as unanimous by roll call (Commissioner Malau: Yes; Vice Chair Cooper: Yes; Chair: Yes).
The petition cited regulatory provisions including NJAC 13:69-2.7(c) and NJSA 5:12-85.1 as the authority for temporary qualification. The resolution imposes the conditions and findings set forth in the draft resolution adopted on the record. No public comments were submitted on the item before adjournment.
