Staff told the committee that updated forms and preparatory work are complete and asked for authority to proceed.
Committee member Mrs. Mitchell moved to adopt the recommendation; Mrs. Rothgarry seconded and the motion carried. The committee directed staff to have legislation drawn to effect the adoption.
The action advances a local code update intended to provide clearer guidance for inspections and to reflect recent national model-code revisions; the council will consider the implementing ordinance in subsequent proceedings.
