The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved a cooperative procurement contract to Belfor (via Omnia Partners job-order contracting) to replace ceiling light fixtures at the main library.
Facilities staff reported a total quote of $209,885.75; the county had $150,000 carried over and $20,000 available in the improvements line, leaving a requested additional $39,885.75 to be transferred from the capital improvement contingency reserve fund. Facilities noted the project may take eight to ten weeks and they will attempt to minimize downtime during the summer reading program.
Mr. McCall moved to approve the procurement and to authorize the county administrator to sign the contract. The motion was seconded and the board voted in favor.
Staff said scheduling and coordination with library leadership would follow to minimize service interruption; the facilities department will notify library staff and patrons about any temporary closures.
