The Adams County Property Committee approved a resolution authorizing county participation in the Wisconsin motorized recreational grant program, a routine annual step that allows the county to apply for state funding for ATV, UTV and snowmobile trails.
Parks staff told the committee the resolution is required each year to accompany grant paperwork and that application materials are due to the state by April 15. “It’s an annual situation… the state needs this to go with the grant proposal paperwork by April 15,” staff said.
Taylor moved to approve the resolution and Rocky seconded; the committee voted in favor and the motion carried.
Staff said they brought the resolution forward now so the county board can approve it by March and staff can include it in grant application packets. No specific grant amounts or trail projects were described in the committee discussion.
