At the start of the subcommittee meeting the Chair announced that the full Joint Ways and Means Committee will hold a public hearing on proposed agency reduction options that evening, Feb. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Hearing Room 40 at the State Capitol. The announcement said proposed reduction options are posted on OLIS and that individuals may register to testify in person or virtually; written testimony will be accepted up to 48 hours after the hearing concludes. The Chair noted this may be the primary opportunity for formal public comment on those reduction proposals and encouraged interested parties to sign up and indicate which subcommittee budgets they wish to address.
