The Venus ISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday approved a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for phase 1 of the new Venus High School and passed several routine items including administrator contracts, a targeted improvement plan and a housekeeping budget amendment.
During discussion of item 15, Mr. Gatewood said the district passed a $76,000,000 bond to build phase 1 of the new high school and that the construction manager at risk submitted a guaranteed maximum price "for $63,000,000, $831,550" as the maximum cost unless the board changes the scope of the project.
