At the Feb. 2 organizational meeting of the Senate Committee on Health Care, Vice Chair Hayden moved to adopt the committee rules dated Feb. 2, 2026. Chair Deb Patterson announced the committee had a quorum and asked if there was any opposition; after hearing none she declared the rules adopted.
The motion was introduced at the start of the meeting as part of routine organizational business. No recorded second or roll-call vote was entered in the transcript; the Chair stated the rules were adopted after solicitation of any opposition. The committee then proceeded to member introductions and an informational presentation on prescription drug price transparency.
The committee did not take up other formal actions or votes during the session and adjourned early. It will convene again on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m.
