House Committee on Revenue adopts committee rules at organizational meeting

Chair Tara Nathanson opened the organizational meeting of the House Committee on Revenue and asked staff to explain the materials before members.
Chris (committee staff) told the committee the proposed rules were the same as in the prior session aside from a structural change to rule 4, which points to an analogous House rule on carryover items. He said the change was technical and intended to address posting-deadline issues other committees face; the staff view was that there were no substantive changes to committee practice.
Representative Walters moved to adopt the committee rules as they appeared in OLIS. Chair Nathanson asked for objections; there were none and the motion passed. The committee then closed its organizational meeting and proceeded to scheduled public hearings.
